Monosodium glutamate

People who are sensitive to monosodium glutamate have felt its effects, including head pressure, seizures, chest pain, headaches, nausea, as well as burning and tensing sensations in the face. Many baby food producers have stopped adding MSG to their products.

Sulphur dioxide

It is widely used as a preservative.
The sulphur dioxide reacts with a variety of substances found in food, including various essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes and essential fatty acids. The most common adverse reactions to sulphites are bronchial problems, especially those who are prone to asthma. Other adverse reactions may include hypotension (low blood pressure), flushing, tingling sensations and anaphylactic shock. The ILO says should avoid E220 if you suffer from conjunctivitis, bronchitis, emphysema, bronchial asthma or cardiovascular disease.

Tartrazine
